Dear Pastor,
Ministry is so unique (not to mention difficult!)
One day we might be helping an addict, the next day a homeless person, the next day someone who is abused (or abusive) and the next day the church curmudgeon.
Ministry can mean going from miracles to church conflict to baptisms to funerals to new births (physical and spiritual). Through it all the people God calls you to serve, will need you to point to Him, remind them of His Word, pray with them and model faith and holiness.
In case you forgot: this is completely impossible without God’s help.
As a matter of fact we can really become anxious and stressed if we begin to think too much about how difficult it is.
Instead, let’s just practice trusting that God will supply the strength, wisdom, peace, hope, joy and love we need in the exact moment we need it. Let’s just believe in and rely on the Lord knowing that He is willing and able to help us with this great calling He has placed on us.
I am praying for you in your journey of faith and ministry
